other than the version number in the version properties tab of the file
properties, the name...
gds32.dll is a name used for legacy connection components.
fbclient.dll is the firebird native name.
either could be the embedded server as well - you can tell by the file size
circa 350k for client only and 1.5Mb for client/server embedded
