What do you mean by "table critical size is 36.6 gb"?
Can't I store jpgs in a blob field?
See the statistcs below of my table with images (jpg) on a blob field:

Index was corrupted.

Table (data) was corrupted.
Did you check RAM?
It may be a reason.
Also you may gather database statisctis and take a look on table size -
the critical size is 36.6 gb.
