This would be fine for static data, but there seems to be no way of ensuring
data synchronisation, so if you change something in the database then
there's no guarantee that your going to be connecting to the same database
with the next connection.

If your looking for database clustering you can check out C-JDBC at
http://c-jdbc.objectweb.org/ however this is only for JDBC.
