Hi all,
Im a new beginner to Firebird. We currently use Firebird v1.0.3, and
IBO objects components.
I've been given the task to upgrade our Firebird v1.0.3 to v1.5.2.
Problem is, our client app doesn't seem to like the database now when
logging in.
I didn't bother doing a backup/restore from Firebird v1.0.3. As
according to the IBOPhoenix website, upgrading from v1.0.3 to Firebird
v1.5.x should be fine.
Heres exactly what I did:
1. Uninstalled Interbase
2. Copied message.gdb for backup purposes to a temp dir
3. Uninstalled Firebird v1.0.3
4. Installed Firebird v1.0.5 in the same place as Firebird v1.0.3
was, due to Client hard-coded references
5. Tried running our gateway app that uses Firebird, but comes up
with error "there is no user login account. Please ask your
Administrator for Firebird"
Im a little bit stuck. May be its obvious to someone, but its not clear
to me. According to the update release notes, the update should be
straight forward with no complications.
If anyone could shed some light on this, I would be very grateful.
Thanks
Richard
