In fact, although you'll see some weird numbers as ODS numbers in some of
the Firebird 2 alphas at te moment, recognised ODS values currently fall
between 7 and 11.

Hmm, the point of the RTFM comment is that it's common practice to read the
docs *before* you get yourself into a muddle like this. It's not that
common to be able to dump structured files into foreign systems and expect
them to work.

...But it's never too late to read a manual!
