I had 40 clients running NT4 with FB 1.03 for over a year with no problems.
Now they are running 1.5 and everything is still stable.
Since everything is working and the only problem is long query times I
suspect the problem lies with the query itself, especially since the
combination of PHP and Apache with Firebird using the standard Interbase PHP
library works well.
How big is the data, and do you have indexes that can be used in the query
you are running?
Have you considered upgrading to FB1.5?
If you dont come right post the query and PLAN so we can have a look.
