Between Dialect 1 databases and dialect 3 databases; specifically,
databases that were previously dialect 1 and were "upgraded" to dialect 3
using gfix. This is going to be an "unknown" that could bite any time,
since existing data doesn't get "upgraded". (I did say "without going into
the issues..." ). But it's apparently not an issue here, since apparently
the old db was restored as a 1.5 db.

And I still fail to see what you think a corrupt page problem has got to do
with "connecting"...
