Look out for the Quick Start Guide in French. It is for Firebird 1.0, but
most of it applies to 1.5 as well.

Release notes have a lot of information, too, and French versions are
available. See the French site for links.

And ask on this list when you get stuck. :-) Remember to say what
versions, platforms, etc. you are using.
