if you need a "standard" installation of Firebird you can launch the
provided setup program with command line flags to make it silent (I
believe they are at least /SILENT and /VERYSILENT). This only
works on Windows which as I understand is your platform.

Alternatively, you can build a "custom" Firebird installation in case
you have special requirements. InnoSetup is an ideal tool to do that.

The installation API, as declared in ibinstall, was not part of the
initial open sourcing of InterBase and so is not included in Firebird.
Not that many people actually cares. ;-)

Thanks Nando, i tried this silent install and yes it does the installation of fbServer.exe (super-server), can it be done with the fb_inet_fbserver.exe (classic) or is this just part of the executable setup that i have used - Firebird-
