I'm assuming you would have a performance increase if you added indices
after creating the stored procedure or trigger that they could take
advantage of. Otherwise nothing?

Now after 12+ more year using interbase I cannot recall
any situation to recompile procedures or triggers ...
beside a corruption or damage of tables.
and I do't think this will be next years...
