I have not used this API myself, so far I have always cheated
and used environment variables. The problem with the
environment variables is that their content is not always
consistent - and I dont know if the same problem occurs with
the API.

For example my client's network has a mix of PCs and thin
terminals connecting to the terminal server, and what appears
in the clientname variable seems to vary.
