Sort of, but none of it was due to Firebird. Last time I looked the average
down time for a server was between 0.5 and 5 days per year depending on the
OS. The main cause of downtime was hardware failure, OS failure, and
'upgrading' OS's. As Firebird does not support clustering we normally write
a 'poor mans cluster' support in our middletier (which is clusterable),
which, when combined with replication reduces the downtime of our FB apps to
'a few minutes' a year, even if one or more of the servers goes up in smoke.
