Could you please try whether the NPTL build successfully installs and
runs ? As I mentinoned in another thread I can't make it run on
Fedora 1/2 distributions. My quick test revelals that it doesn't run
on Mandrake 10 either. May be I do something wrong, however, the
ordinary build seems to install and run fine.
