Hi Ivan,
let you "connect to the server" (behind the scenes this only means
that your username and password are checked) and then you can create
databases or do other stuff. In fact when I wrote this I had
IB(O)Console in mind, probably because that was the tool I first used
when I started with InterBase.
OK, come to think of it: many other tools let you create the database
and specify user+pass in one go, like you wrote :-)
