Gary,

The cache memory are handled by Windows, Windows caches the "recently
used files" on RAM, so further access will be faster.
If you look on Task Manager you should see how much memory FB is using,
the System Cache are not controlled by FB.

Steffen Heil, said on 06/01 that OS System Cache should be disabled, but
I don't know how to do it... I did not have time to search for.

Another point, using more than 10000 pages for buffer tends to slow down
FB...

Someone with more details can jump on and clarify...
