In short:
fbclient.dll (or for older software rename this to GDS32.dll)
msvcp60.dll (if the client machine's copy is older than firebird's)
msvcrt.dll (if the client machine's copy is older than firebird's)
I place these files along with 3 empty .local files of the same name,
where my application exe resides.
I use IBObjects in my app, but the client files needed should be the
same for other DB connection software.
Check the Firebird release notes for more info.
