Yes, but I'm not sure about the consequences (ports on firewalls, allready
used ports,...). And I don't know, how to setup this. In Addition, most of
the other applications use interbase/firebird with a local installation so
my server (if supperserver - not embedded) should be relativeley save. The
problems ocure mainly on the client-computers.

Do you think (or better know?) that it's ok to have multible instances of
the GDS32.dll running at the same time on the same port from different
locations on the same machine? With different versions and different
protokolls and database-locations (local and/or remote).
What about the firebird.msg-file(s) what about the intl-support? Do they
both work like in the embedded version? Don't they use registry-entries if
there are any - even if they are from another version?
