firebird.conf is a server-wide configuration file, whereas
page size and forced writes is defined per database.

Execute gstat.exe -h on your database and you will get back
the currently used page size and if there is a line

Attributes force write

then forced writes is ON, otherwise it is OFF.

The page size can be changed via backup/restore. Forced
writes can be enabled/disabled via gfix.exe
