I experience lock ups in a threaded application too in Win/XP if the same
machine
is the FB database server and run the threaded application. Then I switched
to using Firebird Embedded
and experienced no lockups for weeks. No code changes, I just unzipped the
Embedded
server zip in my application directory and remove IP adress from connection
string.
I have full tracebacks of lockups available, if anyone is interested.
Yes, each thread runs like a standalone application with its own session..
