I plan to use clients written in delphi-7 and dBase 7 for accessing
firebird-databases. Crystal Reports 9/10 will be used for
business-reports and forms.

With CR and dBase I did not experience any problems. But using
InterBase-OLE DB from within delphi resulted in "read-only" rows. So I
tried using ADO-Connections and it worked fine. Cannot explain why,
but I don't have too much time for testing.
