Hans,
As far as I am aware the way FB (and IB) use memory is inconsistent
with the way Novell manages memory. I have a similar situation here
and we will probably have a separate machine attached to the Network
without a Novell licence (not needed) and it will hold the coy
database.
There will be some fiddly bits getting the backup into the backup
path. The new machine will probably run Linux - give M$ the flick
