I think you could follow the same line of reasoning and overwrite the
default firebird.conf with your own. The installer will have saved the
one that was there, and to all intents and purposes your firebird.conf is
the new default in cases where clients are installing your software.
You may also want to save a copy of the real firebird.conf somewhere but
the need to do that will depend on what kind of market you are in, who
your users are and what changes you are making to the conf file.
