you must have missed the IB6 migration guide, then (see my other post).
I think you have no other option than recreate the field(s) and pump
the data. You might be better off by pumping to an empty database with
the new definitions.

But, as Helen said, you already have all the decimals you need. What
you lack is an exact representation, which I am unable to tell whether
you need or not since I don't know what you store into MYNUMBER
columns.
