I tried connecting to a server over my network using the same gds32.dll
(renamed from fbclient.dll that came with embedded server) and it will not
let me connect. It still looks for only the path on the local machine, not
the remote server.

I just want to make sure that I am being clear. I want to be able to
connect to an embedded database and also to be able to connect to a remote
FB server from the same location.

Is there something more I need to do?
