IBObjects we use for Metadata transactions,
we found dbexpress did not work well with
metadata transactions.

we also use TIBInfo to determine properties
of the GDB file like Forced Writes, Buffers
used in memory and sweep intervals.

Is there an equivalent for these in Firebird?
