This is beyond me. I've stayed far away from PowerBuilder on the advice of
many.

I do not think you can specify such options using just a connection string
unless such a capability has been added to the middleware layer, such as
the Jaybird JDBC driver, which I think has it. I would push hard on the
Powerbuilder people to demonstrate that they have this "RC" thing actually
working.
