Bite firebird is now a common practice among Borland guys. In Brazil,
Borland was doing an ALM tour. I was told that in almost every event,
IB guys were saying that Firebird is not stable and that IB is far
superior than FB, etc, etc.

Fortunatelly the listeners at the events seems to take care of
defending Firebird. There is one case that made me laugh:

IB guy said that IB is far superior than Firebird since it allows the
developer to cancel running Queries when they are killing the server.
One of the listeners stand up and said: "So IB is done for lame
programmers that do not know how to contruct queries".

PS: I was not there, I'm just telling what I heard.

Another interesting thing that they are saying is that IB 7 was able
to restore many corrupted FB databases(?!).
