I am using ibase_connect, but have just hammered the server using
ibase_pconnect, without finding any appreciable difference (hammered = 1000
connections in +- 30 seconds)

I do not know if I am using super server or classic. Please advise how to
find out.

Interbase support is compiled into PHP.

Thanks
