Ann,
If I recall the lock manager is a seperate process and must be
started inorder for my application to access the database. I think
this makes it difficult to distribute my application, without also
installing a lock manager. Each user of my app will theoretically
have his or her own profile, container their own database. Each user
can only start one instance of the app, just like firefox limits this
using mozilla-remote. I also think it may be possible to do some
other tricks but you are right, perhaps I should rethink this aspect
of my linux embedded version.
