Hello, Marcelo!
It's nice hearing from you. Do you remember me? I'm Giovani, the guy
you gave the first steps on how to work with Interbase at Windel,
Caxias do Sul. I'm still working at Windel, with Luis, Ivanor and
all your old mates. As I can see you're working in UK now. Ivanor
told me about it some time ago.
We're currently working with Firebird 1.5.1 and Delphi 7. We still
use DBX pallete, although it's not recommended anymore by Borland.
According to them this pallete will only work with Interbase not
with Firebird in the future.
About the resultset in Excel, I would say that in Delphi I would use
the Server pallete which has a few components to handle with Excel
files. I've already used this resource, and it works ok. I have no
idea if there's any way to create this file within the Firebird
server, which would be top.
Well, I gotta go now, geezer.
Hope it helped you.
