Just corrupting the server memory won't affect the database. You've
got to corrupt it enough to affect data - say scribbling on a page
after it's ready to write out but before it's written - but not so
much that the server notices problems.

But firebird was designed to run in that environment and has done so
since 1984. No doubt programmers have got worse in the interim.
