This is not first time this error occurs. In this list i saw this problem
some times.
I copied this from one of that messages:
"PLATINUM (Server) Mon Dec 01 10:26:48 2003
Access violation.
The code attempted to access a virtual
address without privilege to do so.
This exception will cause the Firebird server
to terminate abnormally."
So, under what account is firebird running?, did you tried with a system
account?
Is there a policy or something like that at win2003 about virtual address?
If microsoft is working around security on win2003 an winXP, have they
implanted some restriction to "unsafe" code?
Did firebird-devel team see this problem?.
I don't know what is the real problem. Now i'm testing firebird(under a
system account) on a winxp sp2 machine and it is working fine, I will move
soon to win2003 to test it.
I recently started to compare Firebird with PostgreSQL and i like Firebird,
it works faster, but i'm afraid of this kind of problems (4294967295).
Regards.

Asunto: [firebird-support] Windows 2003 - Abnormal Termination
Hi All
I have Firebird 1.5.1 installed on a Win2003 server. I understood that
the Guardian was not required for this version of Windows but on 2
occasions Windows has stopped the Firebird Server. There was nothing
in the Server Log but in the Event Log Windows described Firebird as a
faulting application. The control panel applet showed that startup had
been changed from automatic to manual!
I then installed the Guardian and a week or so later it had to restart
Firebird because of an abnormal termination. This time the server log
had an entry which recorded abnormal termination and the number
4294967295.
Any ideas about what might be happening? This is a fairly recent
installation with only occasional users at the moment. As far as I can
tell nobody was actually connected at the time of the shutdowns. There
does not appear to be any problem with the database.
