Thanks for the info. I'd like to do the file-copy to CD-ROM as well, but I believe if my math is correct that it would take about 120 CDs or 16 DVDs. I'll try to do a backup to another drive using the RC7 gbak, then just do the upgrade and try to fly with the existing database. Then if something goes way wrong I can restore from the backup if I have to.
