We have some greater distros, like "Fedora", "Conectiva", "Suse",
"Slackware", "Debian".
I think you may adopt one of these "Fedora", "Conectiva", "Suse".
But if you prefer other distro, I have installed Firebird in a lot of
distros and it's very simple and friendly.
