I was trying to be funny - I am not an accountant but I thought I heard that
LIFO and FIFO is old fashioned and that there are now newer methods to
calculate cost price?

I am not sure if I understand your question. First in SHOULD be FIRST
out. Based on this the average price could fluctuate. I don't think I
want to get THAT precise.

Currently I am just taking the average of the last 5 purchase prices
(5 being an arbritrary choice)
