Hi Tom

The components are in the Interbase Admin tab called IBBackupService and IBRestoreService (in delphi 6). I also use IBObjects. I don't think these components are part of IBX (not 100% sure). However as they are simply wrappers for the GBak.exe file installed on your system there shouldn't be any compatibility issues. I think there is an IBObjects backup example somewhere (seem to recall Helen mentioning it on the IBObjects list). You could try asking there.

Not sure why your Interbase Admin tab is empty (perhaps its the version of Delphi - std, pro etc).

Firstly, I don't appear to have those components on my palette - there
seems to be an Interbase Admin palette entry, but no components on it.
Secondly, I use IBObjects and I thought there were problems using IBX
with Firebird.

Do you still recommend using IBX for this?
