kbmMW(www.components4developers.com) is a middle-ware similar(but I
find more powerful) to MIDAS(or now called Datasnap). I think it
should be possible to use embedded with kbmMW, as long as there's only
one application trying to connect to the server. But, I would still
recommend load testing to make sure that it will work. Personally, I
would use a full Firebird server.
