Yes, on many systems that have HT ("hyperthreading") there will be problems
with Firebird and you will have to disable HT in the BIOS. On a few
systems, it is sufficient to configure CPUAffinity to one processor...

Firebird won't have shared multi-processor support until Firebird 3; but
when Vulcan is released you will have the option to use Vulcan and get SMP
support sooner.
