in the thread:

"Execute Statement / gen_id(...) - Returned ..."

I quote Alex Peshkov's reply:

"Current implementation of EXECUTE STATEMENT doesn't support _ANY_
automatic type conversion. You should use cast(gen_id(...) as int) if
you really need it in your SP."
