I just checked it.

First i deinstalled evereything with mysql. Reboot the system. Started with
root and kde 3.1

Then i took a Bash..

Went to /opt/firebird/bin and checked for isql : ok

Then i started isql and get a message like this:

**************************
UnixODBC - isql

Syntax isql DSN UID PWD Options

bla bla

Visit:
http://www.unixodbc.org

*******************************

Do i use the right isql ?

SQLConnect is, I believe, an ODBC API call. Might it be that you're
actually starting "isql" from a MySQL installation?
