"column unknown" is one of my all time favourites. ;-) But I believe
that one has improved in Firebird 1.0.
The overflow & C. message is one of the worst in Firebird. AFAIU it's
not very easy to give more context information there due to the
organization of the code, otherwise someone would have fixed it
already. Let's hope in Firebird 2.0.
