I found a work around, I copied the security.fdb file from my linux
install of FB, to which I could add users using ibaccess, on to my Win
2K installation.
While working on this problem a question came to my mind. Why is it,
that on the linux installation, there is a unique SYSDBA password in
/usr/local/firebird/SYSDBA.password, but nothing comparable in the Win
2K installation?
