That is correct.

I'll raise the issue with the Firebird team, so that "AS" is
recognized in the FROM clause. According to the SQL standard it is
optional. But, this change wouldn't be part of Fireibrd 1.5, because
Firebird is in bug fix mode and no new features are added.
