How did you install firebird on the debian? with apt-get? or with the
tar-ball?
It is perhaps one of the rare exception on debian, but the firebird
debian packages are not really uptodate. This is the only software
package I do not install with apt-get / dselect. For example, the
gstat binary that comes with the latest debian packages (even
unstable) is buggy (cannot handle db files > 2 GB).
Did you also verify if the client is using the latest client shared
library (I mean, the GDS32.DLL version that comes with FB 1.0.3 for
windows)?
Anyway, just to let you know there is no major problem, I was able to
work with events on my debian / fb1.0.3 classic server.
