Hi Henry
I archived away this post from Helen, which may be relevant.
" FB 1.5 *does* have the API now in fbclient.dll, but it also has a
gds32.dll, consisting of stubs, which redirects the client calls to
fbclient.dll.
What *should* work is to move the fbclient.dll and gds32.dll from the
system directory to the \bin directory of Firebird15 and to retrieve your
backup copy of FB 1.0.x gds32.dll and move it to the \bin directory of
Firebird (1.0.x). That is, have NO gds32.dll in your System directory at all."
It appears from what Helen has said previously that the dll's may be incompatible ?
comments anyone ?
Rgds

Hi,
problems arrived when I've tried to install FireBird 1.5 superserver
on a computer which already has interbase 6.0. So the installation
freezed. But in the documentation, it says that FireBird can be
installed with Interbase.
That's why I decided to use embedded server.
thx.

installation with the normal multi-user version.
