I am (still *grrrr*) using IBX components. The insert procedure transaction
is set at read - write consistency. Multiple queries and stored procedures
run in sequence to select the data required for the shift close procedure.
I am still checking, but some of these will do some updating, yes. There
are linked tables which also get updated on shift close.
Since we have multiple POSs, each one will set a field in a fuel sales
table called "LOCKBYPOS", which gives the int id of the POS that "owns"
that sale.
When the sale is complete, it is moved from the fuel sales table to the LOG
table.
