John, I can suppose:

1. Backup was terminated due to some exception and you got corrupted
gbk
2. Restore was terminated and you are trying to use not completely
restored database
3. Less possible - defaults were defined not at columns creation but
by innacurate later hacking system tables. Less possible - because you
say some procedures are not created too.
