I agree with all of your comments about DBW and its creator, Martijn
Tonies, is a very active and positive member of the Firebird community.

One of the really great things about the Firebird community is the ways in
which people - even commercial rivals - cooperate for the common
good. Devoting a percentage of sales of DBW is a very tangible way for
both the tool developer and the user to promote the improvements to Firebird.

In this light, it should not go unobserved that the owner of a competing
admin tool, IBExpert, is Holger Klemt, whose company, H-K Software, staged,
sponsored and underwrote the first-ever Firebird conference last month in
Germany. Like Martijn, Holger is a full member of the FirebirdSQL
Foundation, and one of his staffers also holds a membership. It speaks
volumes for the Firebird esprit de corps that Holger didn't even prevent
Martijn from scheduling a conference session for DBW users! :-))
