No, for Firebird v1.0 onward databases size is limited by the OS and
file system.

Are you sure about IB 6.0 it wasn't v6.5?

I know that the IB 6.0 beta did not support 64bit I/O for anything.

Also, the IB6.5 web site mentions VLDB (Very large database, ie. 64Bit
I/O) as a **new** feature.
