Hi,

I am installing the Firebird on Red Hat 8.0 and i'm not get to start
the Firebird. The message below show:

check $INTERBASE/interbase.log file for errors
can not start server

I executed the command line ./ibmgr -start -password masterkey

The interbase.log:
banco.proar.net (Client) Thu Jun 5 17:59:16 2003
INET/inet_error: connect errno = 111

banco.proar.net (Client) Thu Jun 5 17:59:16 2003
/opt/interbase/bin/ibguard: guardian starting bin/ibserver

I installed many times the Firebird in others server and always
function perfectly (Conectiva 8.0). But now this error occur...

anybody can help me?
